Main characteristics The plant is shorter in height with deep green leaves; hylum is very clear and black in color and bright yellow seed coat color.
Year of release 2011
Planting season and time This variety can be grown in both kharif (mid July) and rabi (mid January) seasons.
Days to maturity Maturity period ranges from 110-115 days.
Land and soil type It can be grown wide ranges of land and soil types from sandy to loam soils. This variety can be cultivated all over the country but more suitable for high and charland of South and South-western region of Bangladesh.
Resistant/tolerant Binasoybean -2 is tolerant to yellow mosaic virus(YMV).
Yield It can produce seed yield of 2.4-2.8t/ha.
Quality of the product The seed contains 43.0% protein, 27.0% starch and 18% oil.
