Developed by Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA), Mymensingh, Bangladesh
Main characteristics This variety is branched, less hairy stem-leaf-capsules with light black seed coat color.
Year of release 2011
Planting season and time It can be grown in kharif-1(mid February to mid March) season.
Days to maturity Maturity period ranges from 90-95 days.
Land and soil type It can be grown in high land with sandy loam to clay loam soil. This variety can be cultivated all over the country.
Resistant/tolerant Binatil-2 is tolerant to temporary water-logged condition
Yield It can produce maximum seed yield of 1.8 t/ha.
Quality of the product The seed contains 44% oil with vitamins A,D,E &K.
