Message from Vice-Chancellor
I am very much delighted and happy to know that the Department of Crop Botany of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University is implementing a sub-project entitled “Establishment of Digital Herbarium and Herbal Museum for Improving Academic and Research Capability in Crop Botany” with the financial assistance from Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) of Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) under the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGCB) supported by the World Bank. Image and database of the crop plants comprising field, horticultural, forest crops and medicinal plants are being digitized and developed virtual herbarium, software and e-learning system comprehensively. The virtual herbarium is linked with the websites of BSMRAU and other Universities, and will also be linked with NARS institutes. I believe that students, academicians and researchers will be directly benefited from this website www.dhcrop.bsmrau.net
I wish for the successful completion of the sub-project and progressive development of the website developed by the sub-project management team.
