Main characteristics Barimasur-5 is a high yielding and early maturing lentil variety. Seed size is larger than microsperma type.
Year of release 2011
Planting season and time The optimum time of sowing ranges from October 25-November 10.
Days to maturity Its maturity period ranges from 99-104 days.
Resistant/tolerant The variety is tolerant to blight and rust disease.
Yield Maximum grain yield is about 2.2 t/ha (av.2.15 t/ha).
Quality of the product Seed contain higher crude protein (29-30%). Dal is red color with good cooking quality.
