Method of development/origin | The variety was developed in Bangladesh through mass selection from a CIMMYT composite ”Neelum”. |

Main characteristics | It is a composite variety. Deep anthocyanin and 1st leaf sheath and medium pigmentation in leaf sheath at 2-leaf stage. Plant height is greater than local variety. Plant and ear height ranged from 200-210 cm and 100-105cm, respectively. Ear is large size and pointed at the end, top portion of ear coating with hard coat, kernels are golden yellow and flint type. Grain yellow color and large size, 1000 grain weight 245-320 gram.
