Method of development/originThe variety was developed and selected by crossing between a locally developed hulled (BARI Barley-1) and exotic hull-less (E-6) line.
Year of release 2005
Main characteristics It is a high yielding six-rowed hull-less variety. The plants are relatively shorter (85-90cm) in height. Each spike contains 48-65 grain. Seed color brown, grains are bold and weight 35-38g/1000 grains. Erect leaves and spikes remain erect after maturity.

Yield2.5-2.75t/ha
Resistance/toleranceSuitable for char land, low fertile/poor soil and river basin and can be grown also saline area also.
