Method of development/origin | Crossing between with three alien wheat variety and select as BAW 1064 from different generation and named as BARI Gom-26. |
Main characteristics | The variety relatively shorter height (92-96 cm). Number of tiller/plant 5-6, leaf broad, recurved and deep green, in younger stage tiller is intermediate, plant deep green, a lot of hair present in upper culm node, flag leaf broad and erect, medium wax coating has present in panicle, stem and leaf sheath, glum of lower portion of spikelet shoulder medium wide and erect, lip tall(> 15 mm) and a lot of spine has present in lip, panicle initiation time 60-63 days, spike medium, grain/spike 45-50, grain white, glossy and large size, 1000 grain weight 48-52 g, glum of lower portion of spikelet shoulder high narrow and sloppy, lip small(<5 mm) and spine has present in lip, crop duration 104-110 days. |

Yield | Yield 3500-4500 kg/ha, at late planting yield 10-12% greater than Satabdi. |
Resistance/tolerance | Tolerant to leaf rust and leaf spot disease (blight), salt tolerant, temperature tolerant. Due to temperature tolerant late planting yield is high. |
