Main characteristics | Stem is stout and strong enough to protect easy lodging. Plant height 120 cm, leaf green, broad and large. Panicles are comparatively long (20-25 cm) and large having prominent lobe and small awns. Seeds are round, bold and crème color.1000 grain weight 2.55 g, Yield comparatively 20% more than titas variety, crop duration 120-125 days. |
Planting season and time | Rabi: November 15 to December 25 in southern parts. It could be also grown in March 15 to April 15 as intercrop(Kharif). |
