Main characteristics | High yielding early maturing variety , plants are relatively strong and stout, plant medium height (120cm), leaf green, stem hard, leaves are broad, panicles are long(18cm), thick, compact and hairy, creamy colored seed, 1000 grain weight 2.3-2.5 g. Yield comparatively 30-35% more than local variety. |
Planting season and time | Rabi: November 15 to December 15 in southern parts. It can also be grown in March 15 to April 15 as intercrop(Kharif). |
Harvesting time | Ripening in rabi season 105-115 days and 85-95 days in karif season |
Yield | Yield in rabi season 2-2.5 t/ha and in kharif season yield is lower than rabi season |
