Triticale
Triticale
Triticale was developed by the cross between durum wheat (Triticum turgidum L.) and rye grass (Secale cereale L.). It is a man made new crop which is a mixture of two genus. first bred in laboratories during the late 19th century in Scotland and Germany. Commercially available triticale is almost always a second-generation hybrid, i.e., a cross between two kinds of primary (first-cross) triticales.
