Habit: Perennial small herb

Root: Tap root system, shallow rooted

Stem: Very short stem, creeping, runner. The plant forms stolons or runners, which bear small leaf rosettes

Leaf: Trifoliate, palmately compound, covered with soft hair

Inflorescence: Small raceme-like clusters

Flower: Yellow or white

Calyx: Sepal persistent

Corolla: Petal 5, polypetalous

Androecium: Stamen numerous, polyandrous

Gynoecium: carpel numerous

Fruit: Aggregate, eaterio achene. The enlarged receptacle or torus forms a pseudocarp or false fruit. On the surface of the pseudocarp, achenes or seeds are embedded.
