Botanical Description of Sugar Beet
Habit:Biennial herb
Root:The taproot is diarch, swollen together with the hypocotyls, forming a tuber.
Leaf: The leaves are glabrous, ovate to cordate, light to dark green or reddish with prominent mid-ribs and strong petiols,
Flower: Flowers can occur in clusters and cohere so that a hard particle is produced.
Inflorescence:The plant has a single flower eat each node of the inflorescence.
Flower: Sessile, bisexual.
Perianth: Tepal 5
Androecium: Stamen 5, perigynous
Gynoecium: Ovary monocarpellary
Fruit: nut
