| Main characteristics | BARI fennel-1 is a highly aromatic and flavorful annual herb, 100 to 130 cm high; every plant bears with 6-7 leaves. No. of Umbel per plant is 33-40, Umbel let per umbel is 25-30, Seed per umbel let is 10-12 and 1000 seed weight is 5-6 gm. This variety matures in 140-150 days. It`s seed yield is about 1.53-2.05 t/ha. Harvesting time last for a month with plucking being done twice or thrice. |
