Main characteristics | High yielding early maturing variety , plants are relatively strong and stout, plant medium height(120cm), leaf green, stem hard, leaves are broad, panicles are long(18cm), thick, compact and hairy, creamy colored seed, 1000 grain weight 2.3-2.5 g. Yield comparatively 30-35% more than local variety. |
Planting season and time | Rabi: November 15 to December 15 in southern parts. It can also be grown in March 15 to April 15 as intercrop (Kharif). |
Harvesting time | Ripening in rabi season 105-115 days and 85-95 days in karif season |
Yield | Yield in Rabi season 2-2.5 t/ha and in Kharif season yield is lower than Rabi season |
Resistance/tolerance | Tolerant to stem rot disease. |
