Developed by Wheat Research Centre, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Gazipur, Bangladesh
Method of development Cross between Robin and Tobari in International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), Mexico.
Year of release 1983
Main characteristics Plant height 85-90 cm. tiller/plant 6-7, leaf inclined.  Flag leaf broad and elongated. Panicle initiation requires 50-55 days, Grain/ spike 50-55, white in color, medium size, 1000 grain weight 37-42 g, and white auricle present at the base of leaf. Crop duration 103-108 days.

Yield of this variety comparatively higher in greater Mymensingh, Jessore, Kustia and Khulna of Bangladesh. It is also cultivated and suitable in other places of Bangladesh.
